Microsoft Loop.
How might we create easier ways for people to share their content across apps?
Problem
Loop is a new consumer productivity app with reusable, transportable content components. The Loop product team needed a design lead to refine and develop its brand strategy, ensure design quality across multiple feature crews, and integrate local design tokens into the global Microsoft Fluent design system.
Actions
I meet this need by:
leading brand efforts and new UX pattern definition across Loop;
providing design cosultation and guidance to designers, PMs, and developers on individual feature crews;
planning and staging design work using Agile methodolgies and tools;
working with feature crews to identify existing design tokens or create new ones when necessary;
working with PM and partner design teams (Fluent, Office product teams, and M365 Expressions) to ensure Microsoft brand and UX consistency across all product endpoints.
developing longer-term brand strategy and roadmaps.
Results
The result of this work is satisfying and noteworthy.
